Grief PSA

Often, following the death of a loved one there are a plethora of robust emotions to process. Everyone has their own journey with grief, however there are not many discussions about the delay of the grieving process. Grief can affect the recollection of memories and development of new ones. This significantly delays the grieving process and is unhealthy for our cognition. The impact of grief on our cognition is not largely discussed, as it seems that not many people have it occur to them. To call attention to this, an interactive poster was created with supplemental postcards and a smaller poster. The idea was to educate and provide information to those passing on what services can be of use to help others or themselves with the impacts of grief. A postcard is present with a cutout of the phrase “remember?”, when lined up with the larget poster it creates larger pictures. Conceptually, this postcard represents a missing piece to assisting others in the grieving process; one’s words. It could be used to reach out to those in need, mailing them a reminder of their love and care.
